Switch Stand Video

I made a video of a super-detailed Atlas O turnout with a hidden throwbar (which I will detail later here) and a San Juan Car Co. switch stand. I rigged the switch stand to turn when the turnout is thrown. Also shown is the micro push button used to activate the servo switch motor.

First, here is a view of the servo setup under the layout. At the far left is the Tam Valley depot Servo controller. I moved the set up push buttons off the board. In the center is the Atlas O Universal Switch Controller rigged to toggle off of a single push button. At the far right is the servo motor switch machine. All of this will be explained in detail in issue #51 coming out at the end of June.

Next is a view from above. That bright brass bar between the ties is the hidden throw bar operated by the servo motor. Note the extra details on the turnout. This is an Atlas O #5 that has been super-detailed. I will show you how to do this in issue #52 coming in September. I will detail how I made the hidden throw bar here on the blog later this summer.

Now, here is the video of how this all works together. Enjoy!
